Mark Gorman

Mark founded AndersenTax Ireland in 2012 having spent circa 10 years working with Big Four practices providing solutions to Irish and International clients on a range of taxation issues.

A qualified Chartered Tax Adviser, he has over 20 years years’ experience in both practice and industry. His clients range from private equity funds to high net worth individuals, listed plcs to owner managed businesses. Mark has a special interest in the renewable energy and technology sectors.

He advises on the full spectrum of tax issues including group reorganisations, IPOs, mergers and acquisition, property taxation, structuring of Irish operations for MNCs, along with the expansion of Irish operations overseas. Recent transactions have included advising on fund structuring for a new Irish private equity fund, advising on a cross border merger of an Irish group, and setting up an Irish principal entrepreneur for EMEA in a US headed group pre-IPO.

Aisling Donohue

Aisling is a Partner with AndersenTax Ireland. She joined a Big Four firm in 1999 upon graduation and qualified as a UK Chartered Tax Adviser in 2001. She worked with that firm in Ireland for six years and in the UK for seven years before leaving the position as a director in 2012. She has significant experience with international structuring, mergers and acquisitions, EU Law based claims as well as more general corporation and employee tax advice.

Her clients range from listed companies through to owner managed businesses. She deals with all areas of business taxes from tax dispute resolution through transaction and employment equity structuring.

Recent transactions included advising on Ireland’s first cash box placing, advising on a debt equity swap by an Irish plc, along with cross border mergers and employee share schemes for listed and unlisted companies.


John Comerford

John is a partner with AndersenTax Ireland. John has wide ranging experience gained in Big Four firms and as a Tax Partner in a well know tax, accounting and advisory firm.

He has over 20 years’ experience advising large multinational and cross border businesses, significant domestic enterprises, property developers / investors and dealing with SME businesses and high net worth individuals. He advises on both business and personal tax issues arising from matters such as M&A transactions, corporate reorganisation, business structure reviews, property transactions including VAT on property and Revenue audits as well as dealing with the ongoing tax and strategic planning requirements for his client base.

John has the ability to quickly absorb the relevant commercial and legal backdrop of a particular transaction to allow him to identify efficient, innovative and appropriate tax structures and solutions for his clients.

Recent transactions and advice include advising on refinancing of an investment and development property portfolio, acquisition of a portfolio of investment properties, the sale of significant business subject to CGT exemption, implementing a flexible business structure to facilitate realisation / sale tax free or with the benefit of exit reliefs, tax efficient holding structure for Investment property, advising families on the tax issues in managing wealth and the participation of the next generation in a tax efficient manner.
